First Point Group wanted a new, improved online destination and needed a digital partner that could design and create a 'best-in-class' recruitment website with seamless integrations and a high-performing job search.
The new website needed to showcase the business's 12 specialisms within telecommunications and network technology, giving the team flexibility to change and evolve pages over time. Prior to the new site launch, First Point Group were limited by a complex CMS and clunky integrations, making the management of the site challenging and the user journey unoptimised.
The key drivers behind this website build were twofold. Firstly, to increase client enquiries, and second to improve the quality of candidate applications. Their previous site wasn't doing enough to convince and convert potential clients, so having informational landing pages for each recruitment specialism was crucial.
The quality of job applications being receiving from certain locations was poor. First Point Group were looking to increase the quality of their applications and, therefore, the number of candidates that made it through to interview and placement. They came to Venn with a clear vision for their new site and a desire to improve the performance for their recruitment consultants.
Solution
Working closely with First Point Group's Head of Marketing, we designed and built a clear, concise and informational site that effectively showcased their 12 specialisms. The new site clearly displays First Point Group as a leading agency in telecommunications and network technology with well-defined candidate and client journeys and an enhanced job search functionality.
The new site features a fully optimised candidate experience to increase the quality of candidate applications through qualification techniques. As a global brand, having an optimised site for international users was crucial. This was achieved through location pages, translations and a secondary phase site clone for the Asia site. Both of these sites underwent a rigorous tech SEO launch to ensure they are optimised on all devices across multiple markets, setting the site up for success.
To improve the quality of candidate applications through the site, we created a bespoke logic function that was added to specific regions where the agency was recruiting. This logic function ensured that candidates were fully aware of the specific criteria they needed to meet in order to be considered for the job. This has helped reduce the volume of unqualified candidates applying for roles in certain locations, thereby increasing the overall quality coming from the site.
Using a clear and concise site map, we built out specialism landing pages to give First Point Group the tools they needed to optimise for SEO and increase client enquiries. Not only do these pages help to reinforce the brand's expertise, but they have also helped the website rank on the first page for all of the specialisms that they cover.
First Point Group were clear on the importance of seamless integrations. As standard with any Venn builds, we ensured their 3rd party tools were fully integrated to improve the business's internal process and enhance the candidate experience across the site. By integrating with tools such as Colleague7 and Data Studio, First Point Group are now able to quantify the performance of their website and create refined strategies.
